Peyton is 6 months old!

Where has the time gone??  I can't believe it!  She is growing so much and adding new rolls everytime she naps.  I swear, I go and get her in her crib and she's added a new roll to her beautiful legs.  We love it!

Peyton is such a joy and really is the BEST BABY!  She is heaven sent and the Lord must have known what I needed for baby number 3.  She is like our little accessory... we run errands and she just rides along in her stroller and watches everything around her.  I am so blessed to have her!

She loves Brent and Taylor and they love to entertain her and make her laugh.  Peyton loves to be around them.  Peyton can roll over, both ways now and is quite mobile.  We'll put her on the floor with toys and she'll travel eight feet over to the wall and get mad that she can't continue to roll because the wall is in the way.  She just started solids, yep that's right... all those rolls so far is just from mama's milk... gotta love it.  She has started rice cereal and bananas and applesauce, and surprise, surprise, she can't get enough.  ( I've decided my kids are not picky eaters... they really eat everything.  I afraid that comes from both me and Eric, what can we say, we love food.  ;)

Just last week, Peyton got both of her bottom teeth.  - that was a little hard.  She is getting used to having two little weird things in her mouth.  It's so funny to see her suck on her bottom lip and continuously brush her tongue over her teeth.  She's like, what are these new things in my mouth??

We love you Peyton and I wish I could just freeze time and keep you our little butterball baby forever.

Posing in her adorable swim suit...

She loves her daddy!

Christine J. gave her this adorable dress... I accidentally cut off the shoes, but they are gold to match her little embroidered gold Ralph Lauren logo on her dress... so cute!
She's already for Wimbledon!  Same weekend even...

gotta love those thighs!

Projects, Projects, Projects

It's a bird, It's a plane.... It's my super-kids!

So when Angie was here we thought we'd do a few crafts that we had admired from other very crafty moms.  As we are buying fabric and ribbon, I ask Ang.... do you know how to sew, she said very confidently, no, but we'll figure it out.  She is so fearless... so we figured out my moms sewing machine with some help and made some fun things... these capes being my kids favorite!

We ended up sewing 36 burp clothes, 12 onesies, 5 capes and still have to complete the tutus and binky clips.

So if I get invited to a baby shower I might just bring something I made. Upside - they're one of a kind and kind of cute. Downside - they're far from perfect, squiggly lines, etc. but as I say they're good enough.

Angie's capes turned out so cute too, we made the boys all pretty much the same

the whale still needs to have red embroidered water coming out...add it to the list.

"The Best Ice Cream in the Country"

Yep, That's right... Blue Bell, the best ice cream in the country.... That's their little jingle for their commercials.  For any non- Texans, Blue Bell is an ice cream only made in Texas and sold here and only in a few other states in the South.  I grew up on it and so I'm completely bias, but I really think it's the best ice cream.  We took the kids to Brenham where the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory is and went on the tour and watched how they make their famous ice cream.  I think I enjoyed it the most.  I remember going when I was little, but I think I appreciated it even more now.  Brenham is a cute litttle cow town outside of Houston on your way to College Station and the factory only uses the cream from the local farmers to make the ice cream.  Their slogan is, 'we eat all we can and sell the rest.'  Even on the tour there were windows into their break room and they have big coolers in the back of the break room full of whatever ice cream the employees want.  Hey, that's where I want to work!

Good thing I have a gym membership now because I've been eating Blue Bell quite a bit... it's so worth it... every minute on the treadmill!

(no pictures on the tour...sorry...Blue Bell policy)

Kate's ice cream - strawberry - or as she described it - PINK!
