Costa Rica Continued

This was the walk from our room to the lobby. There were only 25 little bungelows that were all pretty secluded at this place we stayed. So even our walk to the lobby or our car was amongst the jungle. One night we were walking to our car and it was dark, and we hear Howler Monkeys in the trees really close. I got scared, but Eric was trying to egg them on and was Howling back. I was not too happy. I like wild monkeys from afar, and they sounded too close for me.
This tree we found on our way to a hike we went on. It's called "The Peace Tree." The President of Costa Rica named it this and challenged all the other Central American Countries during a big meeting to be peaceful to one another like Costa Rica does. (They've never been in a war, nor do they have military)

The animal all balled up is a Sloth. It was sleeping in the tree and our guide spotted it and stopped the van and we got out to take a picture. It's fur is covered with green moss. It's so humid there, everything has moss on it.

On our hike to the Celeste Falls... day 2 Costa Rica

A Look out point on our four hour hike. Behind us is an inactive volcano, under the clouds

The Orange Little Blob is a Poison Dart Frog. They are really tiny, and really fast; therefore, very hard to photograph. Our guide was very nice/or maybe crazy and kept trying to use leaves to hold it up for us but it kept jumping away.

This bridge we went over at the beginning of our hike... there were workers building it. We hiked through the National Forest to reach...

This is the Celeste River. Notice the two rivers converging in the left side of the picture, one is from behind, kind of and one from the left. The elements in the soil from the inactive volcano seep into the water and the two rivers collide and the two full of mineral and elements make this beautiful fake looking blue river. It's crazy how blue it is in real life, no photoshopping here. A little ways down the trail we found some natural hot springs and got to go hot tubbing in the middle of the hike.

Right after we took this picture, we swam in the water... soo cold! But it felt really good!
