It's Official....

We are moving. Yes, it's official. It has been in the works for the last few months. Marriott wants Eric in the Orange County office M-F. Since last March, he has been leaving Tues and coming back on Thurs, and then at his Shadow Ridge office on Mondays and Fridays. It is really a blessing for our family, it has been hard to have Dad gone during the week and we are excited to have him home every night. Wow, what will it be like to not have to get a babysitter to go to YW's, Enrichment or a girls night every once in a while? Although I do have to say it has been nice to have Eric's brother, Curt here to help out with the kids at night when I need him. He is living with us and doing his internship at the Marriott until April. So he will pack up with us and probably work out of the O.C. office also.
It is really so bittersweet... We love living in the desert. We love the friends we've made here, we love our ward, we love our house and yard. But we know this is an answer to our prayers so we can be a real family. I am grateful that Marriott is moving us out there... that means I don't have to box up anything. YEAH! And I'm grateful that they've made it so we can afford to live out there too. Yikes, yes the neighborhoods are great and all but it's expensive.
So if anyone knows anyone who wants a great house for a great price send them our way. (4 bedroom/ 3 bath, 2060 sq.ft. gated community/ quite neighborhood/ DSUSD schools/ lots of upgrades in the house: 4" baseboards throughout, new custom media center and cupboards in the family room, upgraded guest area with laminate wood floors, wainscoting, and beautiful custom tile guest shower/ bathroom) ... I can't say enough great things about my house. I'm sad to leave it.
If any of you have any suggestions on neighborhoods/ areas you know of in the O.C. that are nice, let us know. We have an idea where we want to be but it's not set in stone. We really like the Rancho Santa Margarita area. (It's just past Mission Viejo)
So now the fun begins... keeping the house spotless, for potential viewers. (I know the market is slow, so maybe they will be few an far between but I still have to have the house ready to show.) So I forsee many movies for the kids so I can make my vacuum lines while they sit on the couch. :)

You are moving?!?! I am so jealous that you are going to be even closer to Gma anf Gpa! How nice to have Eric home more though. Dan is gone 12-15 days out of every month, it's not easy or fun. Good luck with the move and sell! Love ya!

I understand how you feel all too well. We pray daily that someone will come buy our home. We are not as fortunate as you though and will have to wait until that day comes when we get an offer, no sweet deals for us. We really have grown to love the desert.

From a mom who knows how it feels to be alone during the week I have to say congrats. Enjoy your new found together time

Katie, selling a house is not fun! We didn't have a very good realtor either. IT took us 4 months to sell our house in UTah. Having movers is the BEST!! It is so much easier. I thanked my blessings we were able to have movers! GOod Luck!

Katie, I so understand how you feel. I'm still having a hard time letting go of my wonderful friends, but at the same time I know that this is where our family should be and it's what's best for Trent and his career. I hope you find a good ward that helps the transition.

Brian told me you were moving closer this way...I would be sad to leave your beautiful house too! You guys have done a lot to it! I hope you can sell your home fast so you can be a "together" family. That was hard on me when Brian was always gone. You are one lucky mama...no packing!!! :) YIPEE

It's a sad sad day for the Biesingers. Well it was when we first heard the news... and now again as I read your blog... and even moreso when you actually leave. Well lots of sad days for the Biesingers. But good luck with the house- it is a gorgeous house after everything you've done.

Good luck with everything (especially keeping the house clean with 2 kids...) That will be great to have Eric home every night. Troy just switched to swing shift and it is so much nicer to have him not only home, but awake during the day!
